Faction is Lin Charlston, Heather Weston and Emily Artinian - three artists whose practices focus on the book format as a vehicle for the conceptual and physical exploration of ideas.

The artists work in collaboration on collectively generated themes, approaching a chosen topic variously from the perspectives of their previous backgrounds in science, psychology and literary theory.

Major projects have included work on constructs of reality and the writings of Jorge Luis Borges. Their work is in public and private collections worldwide, and is included in the travelling project KIOSK which is currently touring in the United States.
